Indian movie actress Juhi Chawla was born on 13th November 1967 in Ludhiana, Punjab. Juhi Chawla was crowned the title of Miss India in the year 1984; she was also the runner-up for the Miss Universe 1984 pageant held in Miami FL. There she won the title of best National costume. Juhi Chawla is graduated from Sydenham College, Mumbai. She is married to Jay Mehta, a millionaire industrialist in India and has one daughter and a son. The actress is also a trained classical singer and kathak dancer.

Juhi started her career with Sultanat in 1986 after which followed two Kannada films. She again came back to Hindi movies in 1988 where she acted in a directorial debut with Mansoor Khan and newcomer Aamir Khan. The film was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which was a huge hit at the box office. Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla were acclaimed as the hottest romantic pair at the box-office. Together they went on to do films like Tum Mere Ho and Love Love Love. But unfortunately these films couldn`t live up to the audience`s expectations. After doing eminently forgettable films like CID, Shaandaar, Sanam Bewaffa, Goonj, Radha Ka Sangam, Juhi Chawla hit the hotspot with Dharmesh Darshan`s Lootere. Movies like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Darr also saw Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla emerge as a new romantic lead. Together they shone in unforgettable love creams like Yes Boss and Duplicate. The onscreen pairing spilled off screen too and they became best of friends. The duo, along with Aziz Mirza, formed a production company, Dreamz Unlimited. Juhi Chawla also acted in critically acclaimed movie `Aaina` with Jackie Shroff in 1993. She has appeared in critically acclaimed films like 3 Deewarein, 7A1/2 Phere and My Brother Nikhil. Juhi has also acted in many non Hindi movies like Shaheed Uddham Singh, Des Hoyaa Pardes and Waris Shah: Ishq Daa Waris in Punjabi. She began her career with Kannada movies like Premaloka, Shanthi Kranthi and Kindara Jogi. Her first Malayalam movie was Harikrishnans. The actress has also hosted many awards functions and been a judge of a reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa along with Saroj Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant

Juhi won the Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress for 3 Deewarein. She has won Filmfare Lux new Face award in 1989 for `Qayamat Se qayamat Tak`. In 1994 she has won the Filmfare Award as Best Actress for her film `Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke`. She was awarded as most sensational actress for `Duplicate in 1999.
