Jubilee Hall, situated in the Hyderabad city of the Indian state Telangana, is a royal palace and a heritage site. Its construction dates back to the reign of Mir Osman Ali Khan of erstwhile Hyderabad state in 1913. The palace is regarded amongst the architectural marvels of the city. It stands over the lush green lawns of Public Gardens, better known as Bagh-e-Aam. Jubilee Hall is an Indian spectacle of pomp and power.

History of Jubilee Hall
In the year 1937, the palace hosted the silver jubilee coronation of the HEH Nizam VII after which it has been given the name Jubilee Hall. On the occasion a special gold plated chair was made with the inscriptions of the Nizam"s crest. Presently the chair has been exhibited at Purani Haveli. In the event the Nizam was also presented numerous gifts, souvenirs and mementoes in the court which was worth a huge sum of money.

Architecture of Jubilee Hall
Jubilee Hall stands boasting its elegant facade which has been constructed in the Indo-Persian architectural style. Mir Osman Ali Khan was a patron of Persian architecture and with this monument he tried to amalgamate it with the Indian style. The main facade has been built in the shape of an onion. At its centre, a high stage of small dimension was built for the throne of Nizam which resembles the shape of the crown, also known as Dastar of the Nizam. A white square in the middle still reminds its presence. Jubilee Hall has a colossal rectangular hall which for 27 years has served as the State"s Legislative Council. Later it was shifted to its present building.

The internal courtyard has impressive architecture and a pavilion which is worth exploring. In addition to the exquisite architecture, the culture of that era is also appreciable which played a crucial role in the construction of the palace. Jubilee Hall is considered to be a unique landmark belonging to a significant phase of Hyderabad"s architectural heritage. The royal paintings and works dating back to the time of the original 1936 Durbar still embellish the building. Presently Jubilee Hall is used as a state conference hall. It is also the venue for State Government functions.
