Jawahar Deer Park, also known as Shamirpet Deer Park is a deer park located in Shamirpet, Ranga Reddy district of the newly formed Indian state, Telangana.
Jawahar Deer Park is extended over 54 acres and has over hundreds of deer. It is close to Shamirpet Lake with the plenty of deer.
Jawahar Deer Park is also the abode of peacocks and different kinds of exotic birds. It is also domicile to one of the two butterfly parks in Hyderabad, the other being Mrugavani National Park.

Jawahar Deer Park, better known as Shamirpet Deer Park is located north from Secunderabad. This deer park was built during the rule of Nizam kings in the early phase of 20th Century. Jawahar Deer Park is located near a manmade lake constructed 50 years back. Its spread over an area of 80 acres allocated to deer`s and other herbivorous animals.
