Javed Jaffrey is an Indian actor, voice actor, dancer, comedian, impressionist known for his work in several Bollywood films and Indian television shows. He is the son of Syed Jawaher Ali Jaffrey, the famous comedian film actor who is popularly known as Jagdeep. Javed Jaffrey has been running and hosting a highly popular dance show called "Boogie Woogie" since 1995 on Sony TV.

Javed Jaffrey was born on 4th December, 1963. He was born and brought up in Mumbai. He schooled at St. Theresa"s and resided in Bandra.
Career of Javed Jaffrey
Javed Jaffrey is much recognized for his performance in "Maggi Tomato Ketchup" advertisement aired in 1990s. The film "Meri Jung", released in the year 1985, gave him his first opportunity to enact the role of a villain and showcase his dancing powers on screen. He portrayed another negative role in the movie "Boom". In the film "Bombay Boys", he had performed in the song called "Mumbhai", which was written and choreographed by him. This made him to stand first among the young dancers. In "Salaam Namste" he has shown his audience his mettle as a serious actor. In "Dhamaal" he played the character of a dumb guy whose silly acts delighted the audience. He was highly appreciated for his character as "Charlie Anna" in the animated film "Roadside Romeo".
Apart from movie Jaffrey also hosts the popular dance show "Boogie Woogie" on Sony TV Channel along with brother Naved Jaffrey and friend Ravi Behl. He also dubs the contemporary commentary that has been used in the famous Japanese show "Takeshi"s Castle" on Pogo TV.

Javed Jaffrey is first married to Zeba Bakhtiar, who is a Pakistani film and television actress. Later they got divorced and he soon married Habiba Jaffrey. The couple has 3 children named Alaviaa Jaffrey, Abbas Jaffrey, Mizaan Jaffrey. Javed entered into politics in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Lucknow on the ticket of Aam Aadmi Party which he lost to BJP"s national president Rajnath Singh. He had finished 5th in the constituency.
