Janapada Loka in KarnatakaThe need to preserve the extinct crafts, music, dance, drama and arts was felt by H.L.Nage Gowda. As a result of this the Janapada Loka was set up at Karnataka in 1979.

Today, with the honest endeavor of this man, the Janapada Loka has been successful to preserve the objects like folk pictures, paintings, sculptures, photographs of folk dancers, terracotta, tamrapatra, agriculture instruments, pottery, cassettes and discs on folk songs, musical instruments, coins, ganjeefa, palm leaf manuscripts, pots, looms, basketry utensils, wooden sculptures, leather puppets and tools.

One who feels interested to look at this extinct materials gathered under a true effort may visit the place between 8am to 5pm except Tuesdays and selected public holidays.
