Lying in the heart of Salem, it takes approximately 2 km from Central Bus Stand and 4 km from Salem Railway Junction to reach the college. It has a five-storied building with facility of elevators to go upstairs.

Prompted by the initiation of its team of competent teaching faculty, Jairam Arts & Science College suffices to the need of quality education. Courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate level are offered to the deserving students. Undergraduate courses include- B.Com. CA; B.B.A. B.C.A; B.Sc. in Mathematics B.Sc. in Electronics; B.Sc. in Biochemistry; B.Sc. in Microbiology; B.Sc. in Computer Science; B.Sc. in Biotechnology; B.Sc.-Physics; B.Sc.- Chemistry. In addition, one also can pursue postgraduate courses like M.Com, M.Sc. in Computer Science.

Jairam Arts & Science College also has a beautiful library wholly computerised. Airy, spacious classrooms have the arrangement of seating in a gallery system. All relevant and exciting news and facts are recorded from media channels and then are shown to students at various times during lunch break, morning, and teatime. Examination Hall also is roomy, accommodating nearly one thousand and two hundred students at a time. Television sets, Liquid Crystal Display projectors and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) also are fitted inside the classrooms. To add to these, Jairam Arts & Science College provides separate hostel facilities for both male and female students. Bus facilities also are given to the students for smooth commuting.
The placement cell is quite functional within the college for helping the students to receive positions in various multinational companies that visit the college during campus interviewing.
