Sama VedaJaimini is teacher of Sama Veda and also a student of Vyasa. Jaimini was a great philosopher of the Mimansa school of Indian philosophy. Jaimini was the son of Rishi Parashara. The important works of Jaimini include the Purva Mimamsa Sutras, Jaimini Bharata, Sama Veda and Markandeya Purana.

Jaimini is also the name of a celebrated author in the South India. The author Jaimini lived during the thirteenth century. Jaimini wrote a free translation from the Sanskrit of the Aswamedhika Parva of the Mahabharata. This Parva deals with the horse sacrifice. This work of Jaimini has been well acknowledged by all sects to be the finest specimen of existing Canarese poetry.
