Jahanabad town is a town existed from time of independence of India. It is under the nagar panchayat of Pilibhit district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Population census in India, this Jahanabad town has a total population of 12,420. The males constitute 53 percent of the population and the females constituted 47 percent. It constituted one fourth of the total population of Uttar Pradesh. The Jahanabad has an average literacy rate of 37%, lower than the national average of 59.5%. While on the contrary, in the Jahanabad town 19 percent of the population is under the age of six.
