Jagatjit Singh
Jagatjit Singh was a Maharaja of the princely state of Kapurthala, currently in the state of Punjab. He ruled over the territory from the year 1877 to 1949.

Jagatjit Singh, Maharaja of KapurthalaJagatjit Singh, also known as Maharaja Jagatjit Singh Bahadur was a prominent ruler or Maharaja of the princely state of Kapurthala, which is currently located in the state of Punjab in India. He ruled over the territory of Kapurthala during the rule of the British Empire in India, from the year 1877 to 1949, when he died. In the year 1890, Maharaja Jagatjit Singh Bahadur was invested with complete ruling powers. Singh was appointed as the Indian Representative to the League of Nations General Assembly which was held in Geneva in the years 1926, 1927 and 1929. Further more, in 1931, he also attended the Round Table Conference and was Upraj Pramukh of the PEPSU at the age of 76, the time of his death in the year 1949.

Personal Life of Jagatjit Singh
Maharaja Jagatjit Singh Bahadur of Kapurthala was married for six times. His first marriage was with H.H. Maharani Harbans Kaur Sahiba on 16 April 1886 at Paprola. She was the daughter of Sardar Ranjit Singh Gularia of Paprola. Later he was married to H.H. Maharani Parvati Kaur Sahiba, who was the daughter of Sardar of Katoch. Jagatjit Singh married for the third time to H.H. Maharani Lachmi Kaur Sahiba in the year 1895. She was a princess of a Rajput family from Bashahr. His fourth marriage was with the daughter of a Dewan of Jubbal, Rani Kanari Sahiba.

The Maharaja of the princely state of Kapurthala was married to of the princely state of Kapurthala on 28th January 1908 at Paris for the fifth time. But the couple later divorced. His sixth marriage was with Rani Tara Devi Sahiba in the year 1942. She was the daughter of a Czech Count and an actress named Nina Maria Grossupova. She jumped from the Qutub Minar in Delhi and committed suicide.

During his life and reign as the ruler of the princely state of Kapurthala, Singh held various other titles. They are mentioned as follows-
