Temples of different religion are at times responsible for maintaining the integration in a secular country like India.

Indian Religious TemplesThere are temples for every religion in India. India is a religious country and therefore has its huge population related to one or the other religion. That is why it has a wide range of temples on various religions like there are Buddhist temples, Sikh temples, Hindu temples, Jain temples, Muslim mosques and Christian churches are also there. People of all the religion have equal liberty to offer prayer to their respective gods.

Buddhist Temples: These are the temples, which convey the messages of peace and harmony throughout the country. There are several numbers of Buddhist temples that are responsible for diminishing internal and external conflict by promoting the spiritual knowledge.

Hindu Temples: Hindu temples are specifically designed which represent the symbol of purity. Sometimes only one deity is worshipped there but in many cases many deities are worshipped at the same temple. These places are regarded as the most sacred place where people can forget his or her sorrows and thus tries to meditate his soul. These temples are abundant in number scattered all over India as well.

Jain Temples: Jain temples are mainly dedicated to Mahavira who was the founder of Jainism. The temples are famous for its interior decoration. The Tirthankar who are the liberated souls and freed themselves from the cycle of birth and rebirth give their lectures on spirituality in these temples. These help to explore the history, art and culture of the Jains.

Muslim Mosques: These always represent the unity in diversity in India. These are the perfect amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim tradition of architecture. These can be regarded as place of worship as well as learning centers. These represent th eunique structure of architecture at times as for examples Taj Mahal and Humayun`s Tomb.

Sikh Temples: These Sikh temples are also known as Gurudwaras. These are basically work as the social institutions of Sikhs. People often come to visit Gurudwara to pay curtsy to Guru Granth Sahib, which is located at all, Gurudwaras.

Christian Churches: These are the places of worship of the Christians. This church architecture was first introduced by the Portuguese in India. Also there are different forms of churches, which are based on the religion itself.
