Indian Radio Personalities have been serving the Indian radio proficiently for almost a century. They brought about some of the most significant changes in the audio media of the nation. Lately, the radio organizations are made up of copywriters, producers, compeering executives and most importantly radio jockeys (RJ). Earlier they were known as the radio announcers, who functioned as news readers or hosts. Later, with the advent of FM (Frequency Modulation) channels, nowadays it has become a desired career option due to its lucrative future and celebrity status.

RJ Naved Siddiqi: He is from Lucknow and has worked for All India Radio as well as with Radio Mirchi. He is a trained Indian classical singer and has given a voice-over for a Hollywood film, "Jesus". He is well-known for his remarkable pranks on radio among the listeners and has a massive fan following. He is an Indian entertainer and television host as well. He is best known for his show "Dilli ka Don" on Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM.
RJ Malishka Mendonsa: She is a popular radio persona from India who gave up the dream of becoming an actor. She trained Vidya Balan for her role in the film `Lage Raho Munnabhai". She is now similarly famous on the small screen too. She works in Red FM 93.5 and her show "Morning No 1 with Malishka" has won the "Best Breakfast Programme/Show (Hindi) at the Indian Excellence in Radio Awards".
RJ Khurafati Nitin: He is one of the most famous RJ in the country and is also one of the highest paid radio personas. His real name is Jonathan Philemon Nitin Brady.
RJ Neelesh Misra: He is famous as a radio narrator of `Yaadon Ka Idiotbox` on BIG FM 92.7. He is a journalist, author, scriptwriter and lyricist too. He is currently working on "The Neelesh Misra Show" of Red FM 93.5 and "Kahaani Express" of Saavn. He has won the awards of "Ram Nath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism", "Karpoor Chandra Kulish Award" etc.
Ameen Sayani: He is one of the most popular radio announcers of Indian Radio, is presently working for Red FM. He attained fame with "Binaca Geetmala" and "Bournvita Quiz Contest" and ruled over the airwaves during 1950s and 1960s. His elder brother Hamid Sayani has also been a radio personality of international fame. He gained fame all across South Asia when he presented his "Binaca Geetmala" program of hits over the airwaves of Radio Ceylon. He has produced over 54,000 radio programmes and 19,000 spots/ jingles since 1951.
Rose Venkatesan: She is the first Indian talk show host, based in Chennai. She is a trans- woman who has been dynamic in many fields like television and radio. She started her journey as a Radio Jockey at BIG FM 92.7 in June 2011, airing the afternoon show "Rosudan Pesungal" on weekdays.
Deepa Venkat: She is a popular dubbing artist and a radio disc jockey with Hello FM Chennai. She has played top roles in over 70 television serials and a few Tamil movies. She received a "Kalaimamani" award by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
RJ Raunac Bhati: He has been working as an RJ since 2010. He is a model also and won the title of Mr Rajasthan in 2009 and also got selected in Mr Gladrags in 2011.
RJ Karan Singh: He is famous for a late-night show on Fever 104 FM and has been working as an RJ since 1996. He is a singer as well.
Dhvanit Thaker: He is popularly known as RJ Dhvanit and hosts the morning and evening shows on Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad. He has also sung for several Gujarati films. He has won the Best Radio Jockey (Gujarati) and the best show ("Guruwar Gurjari" and "Hello Amdavad") in the India Radio Forum Awards for 2009, 2010 and 2015.
Aswathy Sreekanth: She started her career in 2010 as radio jockey at Red FM 93.5 based in Kochi. She is now working with Radio Me 100.3 FM as Program Head based in Dubai.
Harssh A. Singh: He is the winner of their first ever "RJ Hunt" and is an actor, singer, theatre personality and voice over artiste. He has worked in several films, including "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Brothers" and "Raman Raghav 2.0".
RJ Shankar: He is popularly known as Blade Shankar and hosts morning shows, "Blade No.1" and "Chinna Thampi Periya Thampi" on Suryan FM Chennai.
Disha Oberoi: She is popularly known as RJ Disha and her show "Morning No 1 with Disha" has won the "New York Film Festival"s World"s Best Radio Programs Awards" in different categories successively for two years in a row.
Balaji Patturaj: He is best known as the host of the BIG FM 92.7 show "Take it Easy" and where he made prank calls to naive victims.
Ophelia Santhaselvi: She is popularly known as Imsai Arasi and is best known for her exclusive voice and Tamil humour and rapid speaking rate. She has worked with 92.7 BIG FM and at 94.3 Radio One. She is being recognized as the Best Female RJ in 2009 and 2012 in the annual "Vikatan Awards" given by "Ananda Vikatan".
Melville de Mellow: He was an Indian radio broadcaster with the All India Radio. He is famous for his high class reports and interpretation on different events in independent India. Among them, the most notable of which is a seven-hour broadcast of Mahatma Gandhi`s funeral in Delhi. He was awarded with Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1963.
Manohar Mahajan: He has been a popular announcer of the "Hindi Service" of Radio Ceylon. He brought many innovative and popular concepts to Radio Programming.
RJ Pritam Singh: He is known for being a flawless RJ and a Bigg Boss contestant. He entertains the listeners with his mysterious talks and playful style of humour.
RJ Anuraag Pandey: He hosts the show `Picture Pandey` on Fever 104 FM. He has also worked in Dubai as an RJ.
RJ Sayema Rahman: She is hosting one of the longest running shows on Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM midnight show, `Puraani Jeans`. She has been hosting the show since 2003.
RJ Renu: Renu Joseph, generally known as RJ Renu is best recognized as the host of the Club FM 94.3/104.8 show "Love Bytes" that completed 8 years which is being aired both in radio with television concurrently.
RJ Prateek: He is an Indian Radio Personality, is also known as DJ Sam and works in Network 18 presently. He has worked with Fever 104 FM in New Delhi and later joined Radio Mirchi (Indore) in 2002 as DJ Sam.
