Koderma is a hub, which produces huge quantity of mica. It produces 60 to 65 % of total mica producing of the world. It lies at a distance of about 60 kms from the city of Hazaribagh.
Hazaribagh National Park also is one of the important places of Hazaribagh town. It is in the lap of Mother Nature encircled with mounds, deep valleys, dense tropical forests and lush hay fields. It thus offers a beautiful view to the tourists. It also houses numerous wild animals like sambhar, bears, nilgai, chital and kakar, tigers, sloth bears and leopards.

Lying half way between places like Barhi and Bagodar on the famous Grand Trunk Road. It is almost 2 kms from `Belkappi, near Barakattha`.
