It is located at a distance of 45 km from the city Ranchi off the Ranchi-Purulia Road. Hundru Waterfalls descends from a height of 320 feet that makes it the highest waterfalls of the state and the 34th highest waterfall of India. The height of the waterfall, scenic beauty and greenery are the main highlights of Hundru Waterfalls. The Hundru Waterfalls is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city and has evolved on the course of the Subarnarekha River. The waterfall cascades elegantly from a height of 320 feet and stands at an elevation of about 456 m. It is surrounded by lush green vegetation. The waterfall and its surrounding offer a memorable and unique experience to its visitors. The picturesque brilliance of the Hundru Waterfalls simply captivates the interests of the tourists. At the base of the Hundru Waterfalls, there is a water pool, which serves as a bathing place and a picnic spot for the locals, the domestic and the foreign tourists. The dissimilar formations of rock due to the erosion by the continuously falling of water have added to the exquisiteness of the place. From the Hundru Falls, the visitors can also enjoy the panoramic view of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. One can also visit the Subarna Rekha Hydal Project located down the falls.

Visiting Information on Hundru Waterfall
The Hundru Waterfalls is located around 45 km from Ranchi, off the Ranchi-Purulia Road. Tourists have to travel some about 21 km from the main road to reach the spot. There is also a shortcut from Ranchi via Ormanjhi via Sikidiri to Hundru, from this road the distance is about 39 km. The nearest airport is the Birsa Munda Airport and it is almost 47 km away from the Hundru Waterfalls and the Ranchi railway station is at about 40 km away from the falls.
