He is an actor who has worked in Bollywood films and is also a filmmaker based out of Mumbai. He started his acting career with the film, "Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love", but only later received recognition for his roles in family entertainer and box-office hit - "Tum Bin" and adult films like "Khwahish" and "Rog". He recently wrote and directed his first short feature "Q.E.D".

Career of Himanshu Malik
Himanshu Malik stormed the fashion industry when he modeled for `Vimal` and `Raymonds` and this advertisement earned him instant reorganization in a short spate of time. Himanshu Malik is often called the handsome model with the angry looks. His clean cut good look is also a big hit with all photographers. Himanshu Malik began his career in music videos; most notable among them was Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan"s "Afreen" with Lisa Ray. He later appeared in Sonu Nigam`s "Deewana" with Gul Panag.

Meanwhile, he made his film debut with a role in Mira Nair`s "Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love" in the year 1996 and also appeared in Ram Gopal Varma`s "Jungle" in 2000. However, his big break came as a supporting actor in "Tum Bin" (2001), leading to work in several small films. His next big feature was "Khwahish" (2003), playing the lead opposite Mallika Sherawat, notable for its sensuality and kissing scenes. He then moved onto behind the camera, writing and directing his first short feature- "Q.E.D- Quod Erat Demonstradum".

Personal Life of Himanshu Malik
Himanshu Malik is a Punjabi Hindu. He was born in a Hindu Jat family of Bulandshahar. He is married and the couple has a daughter. He practices adventurous sports like paragliding, flying and scuba diving. He lives in Mumbai.
