Attractions of Hedvi Village
It is popular for ancient temples like Lord Ganesha Temple and Sri Dasabhuj Lakshmi Ganesh Devasthan. The name of the Sri Dasabhuj Lakshmi Ganesh Devasthan is derived from the idol of Lord Ganesha that possess dashboard, which means ten hands in Hindi. The idol is 3 feet high. As per locals, the temple has been built during the reign of Peshwas and the marble stones for constructing the Ganesha idol were brought from Jammu and Kashmir. Every year in Magh, a grand ceremony along with a procession of idol in a chariot is held between Shukla Chaturthi to Shashthi. The occasion is a great crowd puller.

Hedvi village also shelters Uma Maheshwari Temple and the Brahman Ghal, a natural gorge. The Brahman Ghal is formed on the surface of the Arabian Sea shore. It possesses a depth of around 20 ft and stretches about 35 ft. During the tidal period, with 2 ft wideness, the gorge produces milky bubbles.

The beach of Hedvi village is an ideal weekend holiday destination for those who are looking for a secluded spot away from the hustle bustle of city life. Hedvi beach is a black sand cove nestled amidst the two white sand beaches of Guhagar-Velneshwar and Ganpatipule. It is lined with coconut trees that escalate the charm of the beach. This quit beach is home to rocky shore and orchards of mango, chinook, palms and many other fruits. Swimming and taking a dip in the beach ideally should be avoided. However, it is a paradise for the enthusiastic motor bike riders.

Hedvi village is located about 275 Kms from Pune and approximately 300 Kms from Mumbai. The closest railway station is Chiplun which is around 50 Kms from Hedvi.
