Haridatta who existed during the period 650-700 AD which introduced a new method of computing the solar calculations which is called as Sakahda- Sathkara or Bhata Samskara which is available in his comprehensive treatise entitled as Mahamarganibandhana. Like other methods this new method also gave new methods to calculate astronomical calculations. While much is not known regarding the treatise it too is included as one of the treatise of the south.
Thus Haridatta was the next prominent astronomer of Ancient Hindu Astronomy who followed Brahmagupta in providing astronomical computation.
