The Harangi Dam is a large and impressive dam on the Kaveri River in tranquil and unruffled surroundings. The dam is an ideal picnic spot and there are some short walks along with selected paths. It is a beautiful reservoir nestled in north Kodagu, in Kodagu District of Karnataka. Harangi Dam lies about 36 km from Madikeri with a length of 846 meter and a height of 47 meter. The dam is operated by Karnataka irrigation department.
