Gurudwara of Nadaun is known as Gurudwara Dasvin Patshahi which is a prominent place of worship. In this sacred place, Guru Gobind Singh fought a pitched battle, the Battle of Nadaun, in support of Raja Bhim Chand of Kahlur and some other hill chiefs in opposition to Mughal general Alif Khan. Gurudwara of Nadaun is the 10th patshahi which is located at Naduan in the District Hamirpur. This place is very beautiful. Gurudwara sahib Nadaun is very historical and is managed by the Shiromani Gurudwara Management Committee Amritsar, Punjab.

Legends of Gurudwara of Nadaun
Gurudwara Dasvin Patshahi is a holy place of pilgrimage. There is very historical and religious story behind it. It stands in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh who fought the Battle of Nadaun, in support of Raja Bhim Chand of Kahlur and some other hill chiefs in opposition to the Mughal general Alif Khan. Mughal General had been sent by the then Governor of Jammu Miari Khan, to gather arrears of tribute to Aurangzeb`s Darbar, from the hill Rajas in 1687. The funds were very much needed to preserve Aurangzeb`s clash of deliberate damage against the Marathas and the Shivaji in the Deccan.

The famous battle was fought on 20th March 1691. Alif Khan was running scared, forced into moving back, leaving his camp and its store of weapons with ammunition and other valuable things behind. After the fight, Guru Gobind Singh stayed in a monument for 8 days in Nadaun. The Gurdwara Dasvin Patshahi replaced the previous Gurdwara, built by the Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The Gurdwara was associated to Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee in 1935.
