Guru Ka Lahore is an exceedingly hallowed place of worship, situated near Bassi in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh. It is located in a captivating milieu, girded by hills from three sides. The place has links with the wedding of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. It is believed that when Guruji was engaged to Jeet Kaur, her father asserted that the marriage be held in Lahore. But since Guruji was at battle with the Mughals during that time, it was impossible for him to move to Lahore. In order to gratify his father-in-law, he synthetically created the environment of Lahore here and in due course got the matrimony dignified on 25th January 1686.
Guru Ka Lahore remains open 24 hours a day. The Basanta Panchami Fair is celebrated annually with an enormous gathering joining in the festivity. The Gurudwaras Sehra Sahib, Triveni Sahib and Paur Sahib are located nearby. Guru Ka Lahore lies close to the Himachal Pradesh-Punjab border, only 12km from Anandpur Sahib.
