Gurphug Monastery is one of the sacred sites in India. It is situated in Leh, in Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 15km from the Leh town and 1km from Stok Palace. This spiritual residence is a branch of the Spituk Monastery.

Attractions of Gurphug Monastery
A festival called `Guru Tsechu` is observed here, on the 9th and 10th days of the first month of Tibetan Lunar Calendar (February-March). The distinctiveness of the monastery lies in the fact that the monks of the Spituk monastery perform holy dances during the festival. Devotees come to watch the event in large numbers.

To reach Gurphug Monastery, taxis and jeeps are available for local transport.
