Guhagar of Maharashtra is located at about 17.47 degree north to 13.2 degree East longitude. It has an average elevation of 10 metres. It is surrounded by an area called "Kokan" The nearest city and railhead is Chiplun, which is 44 kilometres away from Guhagar.

According to the Population Census in the year 2001, Guhagar had a population of 3205. The male population in Guhagar of Maharashtra constitute 52 percent of the population and female population in Guhagar constitute 48 percent of the total population.
