Governor of Rajasthan is the constitutional head of Rajasthan. The President of India appoints the Governor for a term of 5 years. The Governor"s powers and functions at the state level are similar to those of the President of India at Union level. The first was Maharaja Man Singh II in 1940 and the incumbent is Kalyan Singh.

Maharaja Man Singh II
Maharaja Man Singh II became the first Governor of Rajasthan from 30th March 1949 to 31st October 1956. He was the last ruling Maharaja of Jaipur. He was also a notable sportsman and celebrated Polo player.
Gurumukh Nihal Singh
Gurumukh Nihal Singh was the second Governor of Rajasthan from1st November 1956 to 16th April 1962. He was also the second Chief Minister of Delhi.
Sampurnanand
Sampurnanand became Governor of Rajasthan from 16th April 1962 to 16th April 1967. He has also served as the second Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He has participated in the Non-cooperation Movement.
Sardar Hukam Singh
Sardar Hukam Singh was the Governor of Rajasthan from 16th April 1967 to 1st July 1972.
Sardar Jogendra Singh
Sardar Jogendra Singh became Governor of Rajasthan from 1st July 1972 to 15th February 1977.
Vedpal Tyagi
Vedpal Tyagi was the Governor of Rajasthan from 15th February 1977 to 11th May 1977.
Raghukul Tilak
Raghukul Tilak became Governor of Rajasthan from 17th May 1977 to 8th August 1981.
K.D. Sharma
K.D. Sharma was the Governor of Rajasthan from 8th August 1981 to 6th March 1982.
Om Prakash Mehra
Om Prakash Mehra became Governor of Rajasthan from 6th March 1982 to 4th January 1985. He was Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force from 1973 to 1976. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan in 1977.
Vasantrao Patil
Vasantrao Patil was the Governor of Rajasthan from 20th November 1985 to 15th October 1987. He was the second time Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was also a freedom fighter.
Sukhdev Prasad
Sukhdev Prasad became Governor of Rajasthan from 20th February 1988 to 3rd February 1990.
Milap Chand Jain
Milap Chand Jain was the Governor of Rajasthan from 3rd February 1990 to 14th February 1990. He was also the chairman of the Jain Commission.
Debi Prasad Chattopadhyay
Debi Prasad Chattopadhyay became Governor of Rajasthan from 14th February 1990 to 26th August 1991. In 2009 he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan.
Swarup Singh
Swarup Singh was the Governor of Rajasthan from 26th August 1991 to 5th February 1992. He was a Sikh Raja of the Phulkian dynasty. He was noted for his bravery as a warrior.
Marri Chenna Reddy
Marri Chenna Reddy became Governor of Rajasthan from 5th February 1992 to 31st May 1993. He also served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was among the stalwarts who headed the Telangana movement of Andhra Pradesh in the late 1960s.

Dhanik Lal Mandal was the Governor of Rajasthan from 31st May 1993 to 30th June 1993.
Bali Ram Bhagat
Bali Ram Bhagat became Governor of Rajasthan from 30th June 1993 to 1st May 1998.

Darbara Singh was the Governor of Rajasthan from 1st May 1998 to 24th May 1998. He was also the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Navrang Lal Tibrewal
Navrang Lal Tibrewal became Governor of Rajasthan from 25th May 1998 to 16th January 1999. He has also served as the acting Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Anshuman Singh
Anshuman Singh was the Governor of Rajasthan from 16th January 1999 to 14th May 2003. He has also served as the acting Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
Nirmal Chandra Jain
Nirmal Chandra Jain became Governor of Rajasthan from 14th May 2003 to 22nd September 2003.
Kailashpati Mishra
Kailashpati Mishra was the Governor of Rajasthan from 22nd September 2003 to 14th January 2004. He was a freedom fighter and former Finance Minister in Bihar.
Madan Lal Khurana
Madan Lal Khurana became Governor of Rajasthan from 14th January 2004 to 1st November 2004. He was also the Chief Minister of Delhi.

T. V. Rajeshwar was the Governor of Rajasthan from 1st November 2004 to 8th November 2004. He was also an Intelligence Bureau Chief.
Pratibha Patil
Pratibha Patil became Governor of Rajasthan from 8th November 2004 to 21st June 2007. She has served as the 12th President of India.
Akhlaqur Rahman Kidwai
Akhlaqur Rahman Kidwai was the Governor of Rajasthan from 21st June 2007 to 6th September 2007. 2011 He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2011.

S. K. Singh became Governor of Rajasthan from 6th September 2007 to 1st December 2009.
Prabha Rau
Prabha Rau was the Governor of Rajasthan from 2nd December 2009 to 26th April 2010. She was a musician and an athlete.
Shivraj Patil
Shivraj Patil became Governor of Rajasthan from 26th April 2010 to 12th May 2012. He became Home Minister in 2004.

Margaret Alva was the Governor of Rajasthan from 12th May 2012 to 7th August 2014. She was a senior figure in the Indian National Congress and was Joint Secretary of the All India Congress Committee.
