The Government Museum at Kanyakumari in the state of Tamil Nadu was established in the year 1991. It is exactly located in the Gandhi Memorial Road. This museum was built as a multipurpose museum.

The objects that have been displayed in the museum include objects of art, anthropology, archaeology, numismatics, philately, botany, zoology and geology. People who are interested to visit the museum may come between 9:30am to 5pm except on Fridays, second Saturdays and National holidays.
