It is a stunning view point that was developed by the Forest Department of Gujarat in proximity to Gavdahad village of Dangs District. The view point looks over a green part of Purna Wildlife Sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary is surrounded by the U-shaped river called Gira River. Gira River is arain fed river of Western Ghats Range. The Eco-Development Department (EDC) of Gujarat, under the control of forest department offers accommodation for the national and international tourists.

Purna Wildlife sanctuary is a wealthy and large forest positioned between the Gira River and Purna River. The admirable beauty of its hilly tracts makes this a great attraction close to Girmal waterfalls. Purna Wildlife Sanctuary is a portion of the dense forests of Dang District of South Gujarat. This wildlife sanctuary spreads over an area measuring nearly 160.8 square kilometres. It has been declared a wildlife sanctuary during July, in the year 1990 and along with Vansda National Park as the only singular Protected Area in South Gujarat for safeguarding flora and fauna.

Purna Wildlife Sanctuary has been so named after the Purna River which flows across Gujarat. The visitors would be welcomed by the green sights of the diverse vegetation and numerous species of wildlife which wander about the depths of this sanctuary.

Saptashringi Devi Temple is one of the most renowned religious places of Gujarat near Girmal Waterfalls. Saptashringi Devi is the sister of Goddess Kali and tourists from far flung places come here to worship the deity. The temple is located 50 km away from Saputara Hill station. Saptashringi Devi Temple is renowned as the mountain with seven peaks. During Dussehra festival and Navaratri festival, this temple is attracted to many pilgrims.

A botanical garden is located in Girmal Waterfalls, where one can find the rich variety of fauna and flora. This place covers around 24 hectares of land and is as retreat for tourists and nature lovers. The garden is home to more than 1400 vegetation varieties and some rare plants like Golden Bamboo, Beer Bottle Bamboo and Chinese Bamboo. Each plant is classified differently and is kept in order of its species. This botanical garden lies only 24 km from Saputara Hill station, which makes it easily accessible.
