Girdhari Temple is situated at Sironj in Vidisha. The temples of Jatashankar and Mahamaya are believed to be old and sacred. The former is situated at a distance of about 3 km to the southwest of Sironj in the forest area. It is believed that Maharaja Tantya Tope had made a stop in this place for some time. The Mahamaya Temple is 5 km away to the southwest of Sironj, atop a hill. A gala fair is held every year.
