Early Life of Gautam Gambhir
Gautam went to the Modern School in New Delhi. Right from his school days he was very fond of cricket, and in the year 2000 he got selected for the first intake of National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He got married to Natasha Jain who belonged to the well-to-do business family on 28th October in the year 2011.

Cricket Career of Gautam Gambhir
This leg break bowler of Delhi Cricket team has played for the India Red, Indian Board President`s XI and Rajasthan Cricket Association President`s XI. In 2000, Gautam Gambhir gave an attacking stroke play at the top order for Delhi. He scored two successive double-centuries, one for Delhi and another for the Board Presidents` XI against the tourists at that time. Gautam Gambhir was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Gautam Gambhir had his "First-class" match debut in 1999/00. He has played overall 94 "First-class" matches and has made his total score of 7504 runs in these matches. Gambhir scored highest 233 runs in any of the "First-class" matches and his average is 53.98. His "First-class" match scorecard includes 24 centuries and 30 half-centuries. IPL Career of Gautam Gambhir
Gauti (his popular name among team mates) was picked up by the Delhi Daredevils for the first three editions of Indian Premier League. His inaugural edition went extremely well as he became the second highest run getter (534 runs in 14 matches) for the franchisee. For the third season he was made the captain of the side. For the 2011 season of IPL he was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders and since then he is the captain of the Kolkata franchise. He also helped the team to win their first IPL trophy in 2012.
