Unconventional looks and powerhouse performances have made the small screen Gaurav Chopra a popular face of the small screen. He made his presence felt with soaps like `Sara Akaash`, `Lavanya`, `Piya Ka Ghar` and also `Aisa Des Hai Mera`. The first show he signed was `Lavanya.` He bagged this role with the help of the creative director Habib Faizal. In spite of being signed up for `Lavanya` first, Saara Akaash came on air first. He has also appeared in a Hollywood film `Blue Diamond` with the renowned Hollywood actor Leonardo De Carpio.

Gaurav Chopra is believed to make his film debut with Ghoom, which is a spoof on the Bollywood chartbuster. He also appeared in the celebrity dance show `Nach Baliye 2` with Narayani Shastri but soon he was voted out. Soon after that he got a role to play in the popular SAB TV soap `Left Right Left.` In his next serial `Dil Kya Chata Hai` he essayed the character of Raghu who is Madhvi`s husband and also a struggling actor. In another popular soap `Aisa Des Hain Mera` he played the character of Samay.

In his personal life Gaurav Chopra is married to his long t ime beloved and another popular television actress Narayani Shastri.
