Garh Doul is an archaeological site situated in Sonitpur district of Assam. It is an important State Protected Monument in Assam and is also listed as an ASI monument. This is fortified in all direction reinforced rampart and covers an area of 250 m in all directions. It has remains of a brick structure in the form of two mounds which contains the foundation of brick temple plinths. The remains are said to be dated to 7th and 8th century.

Legends of Garh Doul
In Hindu mythology, Garh Dou is said to be the site of a fortress which was built by Banasura to keep his daughter Usha. Usha spent her early age in this place.
