F.I.R. is an Indian television sitcom that aired from 31 July 2006 to 23 January 2015, on Sony SAB TV Channel. F.I.R. is a situational Hindi comedy TV serial revolving around a Haryanvi Lady Police Officer named "Inspector Chandramukhi Chautala" and her two subordinates, Head Constable "Gopinath Gandothra", "Mulayam Singh Gulgule" and Constable "Billu". Kavita Kaushik plays the lead role as "Chandramukhi Chautala". The show depicts their lives as they try to solve every case which comes to "Imaan Chowki Police Station". New cases come to the police station in every episode. An individual or a group come with a complaint or a problem. The problem generally has nothing to do with police. It may be a case of love, divorce, snoring, or bad cooking. Chandramukhi Chautala and her constables solve the case successfully in a comical and unusual way.
Plot of F.I.R.
The central of the plot is the character of "Chandramukhi Chautala" played by Kavita Kaushik. She is well built, young, educated and well informed. She speaks in Haryanvi accent with a regional dialect of Hindi language. She is good with her job and never fails to solve a case. She bosses over her juniors and also over her boss, "Bajrang Pandey" played by Aamir Ali. He is young and energetic and afraid of marriage. Once a soothsayer prophesied that he would die the moment he marries a girl. "Mulayam Singh Gulgule" played by Kiku Sharda is a middle aged man and gives ideas to Chandramukhi to solve a case. "Gopinath Gandotra" played by Gopi Bhalla happens to be an aged constable who speaks in Punjabi accent and spends much of the time reading newspaper and trying to speak in very bad English.
The show took a 20 year leap when Kavita Kaushik, who played the lead role, departed from the show and introduced Chitrashi Rawat as Chandramukhi"s daughter, "Jwalamukhi Chautala", who reveals that Chandramukhi married Bajrang Pandey. The incidents occurring in the 20 year leap were converted into constable Gopi"s dream.
