Feroze KhanFeroze Khan was a skilled inside right and centre forward field hockey player who was part of the Gold medal winning Indian team of the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. Following partition, Khan migrated to Pakistan and spent the later years of his life as a respected coach. At the time of his death in 2005, he was the oldest living Olympian, at 100 years old.

Career of Feroze Khan
Feroze Khan was born in Jalandhar, India on September 9th 1904. From an early age, Feroze started playing hockey using a tree branch. After India received independence, Feroz Khan migrated to Pakistan, and served as a coach. He also served as National selector for Pakistan. He died of natural causes at the age of 100. Former Olympians, hockey organisers, military officials, friends and relatives attended his funeral procession. This list include prominent former Pakistan hockey Olympians Anwar Ahmed Khan, Abdul Waheed Khan, Islahuddin Siddiqui, Samiullah Khan and Olympians Rasheed-ul-Hasan and Iftikhar Syed and others.

On September 9, 2004, Feroze celebrated his 100th birthday and was acknowledged as the oldest living Olympic medal winner by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The title was conferred upon him after the United States` James Rockefeller died in early 2004. In the year 1924, Rockefeller had won a gold medal in rowing in the Paris Olympics.
