Personal Life of Farida Jalal
Farida Jalal married Tabrez Barmavar, an actor belonging to Bhatkal. Barmavar died in September 2003. Yaseen is the son of Farida Jalal and Tabrez Barmavar. Farida Jalal enacted the lead role of the female protagonist in the movie `Jeevan Rekha`, in which Tabrez, her husband acted the role of the hero. Ajit and Pran were the other talented actors who starred in the film. One of the songs of this movie, named `Yaar mere, meri baahon me aaja` which has been sung by Mohammed Rafi, has gained immense popularity.

She got her second filmfare award for best supporting actress award for `Henna`. In 1995 she got Filmfare Critic`s Award for Best Performance in `Mammo`, in 1996 she was awarded the Bengali Film Journalists Association Awards for her performance in the movie `Mammo`, in the category of Best Actress and in 1996 she got the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for `Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge`.
