Eye diseases can be defined as an impairment or abnormal functioning of eye which leads to visual disturbance. Most of the eye diseases cause blurred vision whereas severe cases lead to blindness.

Eye disorder can cause damage and blindness if not treated soon enough. Most people have eye problems at one time or another. Some are minor and will go away on their own, or are easy to treat at home. Others need a specialist"s care. Always check with a doctor if the symptoms are really bad or don"t clear up within a few days.

•Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water to keep the body and eyes hydrated.
•Make a conscious effort to stop periodically to rest and blink frequently especially when reading, working on a computer or watching television.
•Avoid rubbing eyes.
•Always protect eyes from the sun"s harmful UV light and glare with protective lenses.
