Dwapara is the third Yuga or age, which lasts for 2,400 divine years. These are converted into years of mortals by multiplying them by 360, a year of men being a day of the gods. Thus, 2,400 X 360 equals to 864,000 mortal years is the duration of the Dwapara of third Yuga. The predominant duties of the four Yugas are said to be austere zeal on the Krita age, knowledge in the Treta, sacrifice in the Dwapara and liberality alone in the Kali Yuga.
