Duarsini is located around 13 km from Burdwan town in Purulia district which marks the border of Indian states of Jharkhand with West Bengal. Duarsini is a village bordered by undulating hills and lush forests.

At night one can hear the music of "Madol", (drum) reverberating from the tribal village. They celebrate a number of festivals all over the year. Sometimes a group of Elephants may come out from Dalma to visit Duarsini. One can spend hours sitting by the side of the river Satgurung. It is a wonderful weekend destination.

One can reach Ghatshila by train from Howrah. From Ghatshila a visitor can get hired car to reach Duarsini which is 20 km from Gatshila, which is another tourist location in West Bengal.
