Dongragarh is one of the prominent religious destinations in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. It is situated at a distance of 35 km. from the district headquarters at Rajnandgaon. The name of the place Dongragarh is derived from two words `Dongarh` meaning `mountains` and `garh` meaning `fort`. The nearest airport is at Raipur and the nearest railway station is Rajnandgaon Railway Station. The town is also well connected through buses and taxis to other places.
A pilgrimage spot for devotees, Maa Bamleshwari Temple is situated here on a hilltop at a height of 1,600 feet. Another prominent shrine in the vicinity is Chhoti Bamleshwari Temple.
