This place comes under Doon Valley"s Terai and Bhabhar region. Dehradun is located 30 km south of Doiwala.

According to the population census 2011, Doiwala had a population of 17000.The males constitute 54 % of the population and females 46 %. Doiwala has an average literacy rate of 82 %, higher than the national average of 59.5 %. The male literacy rate is 82 % and, female literacy is 82 %. In Doiwala, about 11 % of the population is under 6 years of age.

Sikhism is also followed in Doiwala. Being a part of Dehradun district, Garhwali population is also widespread in nearby town Bhaniyawala. Climate of Doiwala
The climate of Doiwala is generally temperate, although it varies from tropical hot in summers to severely cold, depending upon the season and the altitude of the specific location. The nearby hilly regions often get snowfall during winter but the temperature in Dehradun and Doiwala is not known to fall below freezing. Summer temperatures can often reach 42 degree C whereas winter temperatures are usually between -0.3°C and 20 degree C.

The nearest attractions include the Rajaji National Park and Motichur Wildlife Sanctuary and the numerous shrines at Rishikesh.

How to Reach Doiwala
Doiwala Railway Station on the Dehradun - Motichur rail route and Kansrao Railway Station are the nearest railway station and Jolly Grant airport is the nearest airport. However Rishikesh Rail Way Station is major railway station 16 km near to Doiwala.
