The cute faced actress Divyanka Tripathi aka Vidya of `Banoo Mein Teri Dulhaan` fame has already carved out a niche for herself in the heart of her viewers by her innocent character portrayal of Vidya in the soap. Her prior acting experiences are not many. She has done a few plays all of which were for All India Radio, Doordarshan and Bhopal. She also participated in the acting talent hunt Zee Cinestar Ki khoj and was also declared a winner from the Kolkata zone.
She made her television debut with the soap `Dulhaan`. She claims that she is enjoying enacting the character to the core and also remarks that it is very difficult to get likes of Vidya in real life. She is too good a person to be true. In this serial she essays out the character of a village girl who after a fairy-tale marriage lands up in the place of her in-laws where she has to face the tantrums of her mentally retarded husband and her scheming sister-in-laws.
After her husband`s revival he could not recognize his wife and that multiplied the sorrows of Vidya. But ultimately things fell in place and now Vidya is on her way to win over her husband`s love. She is very happy with her role and is completely against the remark that her character is that of a crying baby. She defends her portrayal by remarking that it is only under bad circumstances that Vidya breaks down.
For Divyanka Tripathy acting happened quite unexpectedly. She aimed to be an Army officer. But soon enough found herself in the world of acting and modeling. In the initial stages she took part in the Miss Bhopal contest and won it. Then she participated in the Zee`s Teen Queen Contest and there also bagged the title of `Ms Beautiful Skin`. It was from here that her journey to stardom began. Soon the producers of the serial got her pictures and called her for audition. She was selected at the first meet and soon after she found herself on the shooting sets of `Dulhaan`.
On her personal front she comes from a medical background. Her father is a pharmacist and has been into this profession for the last 30 years. Recently she is in a two-year contract with the producers of this soap and is paid on a monthly basis in contrast to the others who are paid on a daily basis. She does not mind the long working hours that she has to devote, as she is really passionate about acting. She only regrets that her pay-package is not that impressive and plans to walk out of the soap if she is not granted her deserved package. She shares a very good bonding with all her co-stars and adds that the set of `Dulhaan` is her home away from home.
This extremely graceful and talented actress hardly plans anything in life. For her things, which are destined to happen, will happen on its own. It has always been an unplanned life for her and she has picked up whatever came on her way. She also aims to join the Bollywood bandwagon in the near future and says that she is open to doing films. Instead of opting for too bold roles she would prefer to stick to traditional roles. Her fans sincerely wishes her all the best for future and hope that her recent show `Dulhaan` as well as all her future endeavors will catapult her to the summit of stardom in the coming years.
