Diu Island, Indian IslandDiu Island is a small island covering an area of 38.8 Sq. km near Junagadh of the Saurashtra Peninsula of Gujarat. The district of Diu is located between the coordinating parallels of 20°44`34" and 20°42`00" north of latitude and between 71°00`24" and 70°52`26" east of longitude.

Diu Island is connected to Gujarat and Maharashtra by road, which connects it to major National Highways of the country. It has no direct rail connections. The nearest important railway station of Diu Island is Veraval, which is directly connected to Rajkot, Ahmedabad and other major cities of the country. It has an airport at Nagoa, which connects it to Mumbai by Jet Airways flights.
