Districts of South Haryana consist of Gurgaon district, Mahendragarh district, Palwal district and Rewari district. Districts of South Haryana are well equipped with modern infrastructure, facilities and services in the areas of commerce, communication, connectivity, hospitality, transportation, medical facilities etc. Districts of South Haryana are unique in history and archaeology. The land of Haryana has been referred to as `the heaven on the earth` in an ancient Sanskrit inscription. The Indus Valley Civilisation and Vedic civilizations were flourished from the early era. On its north, the district of Jhajjar and the Union Territory of Delhi bound it. Faridabad district lies to its east. On its south, lie the districts of Palwal and Mewat. To its west lies Rewari district.

Mahendragarh District
Mahendragarh district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana. The district occupies an area of 1,859 square km. Narnaul city is the administrative headquarters of the district. Mahendragarh is one of the very few districts in India where the name of the district and its main town are different. Mahendragarh is a part of the Ahirwal region in which members of the Yadav community dominate.

Palwal District
Palwal district is the 21st district of Haryana. Palwal city is the headquarters of this district. The city is situated 60 kilometres from Delhi and 55 kilometers from Khair City on the Delhi-Mathura highway (NH-2). The area of the city is 22.10 square kilometers. It is a place of great antiquity; supposed to figure in the earliest Aryan traditions under the name of Apelava, part of the Pandava kingdom of Indraprastha, which was later restored by Vikramaditya.

Rewari District
Rewari district is one of the busiest districts in Haryana. The administrative headquarters of this district is Rewari. Rewari city is the biggest city in this district. It is located in southern Haryana around 80 kilometres from the capital, New Delhi. Rewari was accorded the status of a district by the Government of Haryana on 1 November 1989.
