Districts of North RajasthanDistrict of Northern part of Rajasthan includes the districts like Hanumangarh district, Sri Ganganagar district, Churu district, Jhunjhunu district and Alwar District. Alwar is a medieval fort city in North Rajasthan. Alwar was formerly the capital of the Princely State Of Alwar which was ruled by Kachwaha Rajputs. It was formerly spelt as "Ulwar" in British India. This placed it in last position in alphabetically ordered lists, so a king changed the spelling to "Alwar" to bring it to the top. Alwar is also known by the name "Matsya Nagar". Alwar has the most hunted place Bhangarh, where Bhangar Fort is famous. Bansur, Behror, Govindgarh, Kathumar, Kishangarh, Kotkasim, Laxmangarh, Mundawar, Rajgarh, Tijara, Neemrana and Reni are the tourism attractions in northern part of Rajasthan.

Hanumangarh District
Hanumangarh district is a district in the state of Rajasthan. The city of Hanumangarh is the district headquarters and its largest city.

Sri Ganganagar District
Sri Ganganagar district is a northernmost district of Rajasthan state in western India.

Churu District
Churu district is a district of Rajasthan in western India. The town of Churu is the administrative headquarters of the district.

Jhunjhunu District
Jhunjhunu District is a district of Rajasthan. The town Jhunjhunu is the district headquarters. Jhunjhunu is the only district in India, which has contributed maximum number of soldiers in Indian Army. As an average every house has one or more soldier serving in Indian Army.

Alwar District
Alwar District is a district in Rajasthan, a state in northern India, with capital in the city of Alwar. The district covers 8,380 square kilometers. Alwar District is bounded on the north by Rewari district of Haryana, on the east by Bharatpur District and Mewat district of Haryana, on the south by Dausa District, and on the west by Jaipur district.

The history of Alwar dates back to 1000 AD. The king of Amer ruled the area in the eleventh century and his territory extended up to the present city of Alwar. He founded the city of Alpur in 1106 AD Vikrami samvat after his own name which eventually became Alwar. From time to time, different sub-clans of Rajputs ruled Alwar. Nikumbh Rajputs, Badgujar Rajputs and Last was Naruka Rajputs who took the control over this area. Marathas and Jats of Bharatpur also ruled this region for very short period. A brave Rajput Partap Singh took the Alawar Fort from Jat Raja of Bharatpur on an agreement and laid down the foundation for modern Alwar. Hemu also born into a Brahmin family in Machari was, a Hindu emperor of North India during the 16th century, a period when the Mughals and Afghans were vying for power in the region. Hemu acceded to the throne of Delhi on 7th October 1556 after defeating Akbar`s Mughal forces in the Battle of Delhi in the Tughlakabad area in Delhi, and became the king. He won twenty-two battles in succession and became the last Hindu emperor of India.
