Bhandara District
Bhandara District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra. The district headquarters are located at Bhandara. The district occupies an area of 4087 square kilometers and has a population of 1,200,334 of which 19.48% are urban. It is fondly called the `District of Lakes` or `Brass city`. Bhandara has a mixed economy with agriculture, industries and forest resources contributing to it. Bhandara is known for its large production of rice. Tumsar, a tahsil town, has a famous rice market. Bhandara town is also known as `Brass City` owing to the presence of a large brass products industry. Bhandara has no shortage of tourism spots with several important destinations like Ambagad Fort, Brahmi, Chinchgad and Dighodi. The history of Bhandara District defines the regions to the south of the Godavari which was inhabited by the aborigines, who are called “Rakshasas” in the Ramayana. Initially, Bhandara District was included in the seventh century in the territories of the Haihaya Rajput kings of Chhattisgarh whose kingdom was known as Maha Kosala. Umesh kachhawh Bhandara retains some recollection of Hindu kings who ruled from Nagardhan. Later it was added with the regions of Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Dynasty and British East India Company. The 17th century Bhandara District saw the repeated invasion of the Peshwas who were instrumental in making the district a part of Berar in British India. The Peshwas were succeeded by the Nizams during the 1850 and the Nizam ceded Berar District to the British East India Company. In 1903, the Nizams of Hyderabad leased Berar to the British Government of India. It was transferred to the Central Provinces of British India till 1956.Districts of Nagpur Division, Maharashtra

Chandrapur District
Chandrapur District is a district in Nagpur Division of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The district was formerly known as Chanda District. In 1964, it was renamed as Chandrapur.

Gadchiroli District
Gadchiroli district is an administrative district in Maharashtra. The town of Gadchiroli is the administrative headquarters of the district.

Gondia District
Gondia District is an administrative district in the state of Maharashtra. The district headquarters are located at Gondia (Gondiya).

Nagpur District
Nagpur district is a district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state in central India. The city of Nagpur is the district headquarters. The district is part of Nagpur Division. This district has many archaeological remaining.

Wardha District
Wardha district is one of the 36 districts in Maharashtra. This district is a part of Nagpur Division. The city of Wardha is the administrative headquarters of the district. The district had a population of 1,300,774 of which 26.28 percent were urban as of 2011.
