Diana Fram Edulji was born on 26th January 1956 is a former Indian women Test cricketer. She was born in the city of Mumbai and was drawn to sports from a very young age. During her growing up days she played with tennis ball in the colony where she lived. She then also went on to play table tennis and basket ball at the junior national levels, before shifting to cricket.
During a cricket camp hosted by "Lala Amarnath" she learned a lot from the camp and honed her skills. During that time the women cricket team was gaining popularity in India and she went on to play for the Railways Team. Following her success at the domestic level she was called on to represent India at the highest level and she was successful as a slow left arm bowler. She played her first series in 1975. In 1978 she was made the captain of team. With 120 wickets, she remains the highest wicket taker of the game.
Achievements for Diana Edulji
Diana Received India`s greatest sports honour award, the Arjuna Award in 1983. Diana lost her four front teeth while playing yet she dedicated herself to the game. She is said to be the greatest Indian woman cricketer of all time.
