Dhundhi Ganapati is the twenty sixth among amongst the thirty two forms of Lord Ganesha. In this form, Lord Ganesha blesses His devotees and helps them in attaining salvation or moksha. Dhundhi Ganapati of Kashi is depicted in red complexion and has four arms. The elephant faced deity carries beads of rudraksha in His upper right hand; a battle axe in the upper left hand; His own broken tusk in the lower right hand; and a Ratnakumbha (a pot jewels and gemstones) in His lower left hand. In this form, Lord Ganesha is regarded as the protector of His loyal devotees.

The worship of Dhundhi Ganapati of Kashi helps in attaining salvation or moksha through religious and spiritual studies. This form of the Lord is worshipped in the Sri Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Amman Temple in Kerala and the Ganesha temples in Nanjangud and Chamarajanagar in Mysore, Karnataka. The devotees of Ganesha pray and worship this form by chanting the Dhundhi Ganapati Mantra. It is mentioned as follows- Akshamalam Kutharam Cha Ratnapatram Svadantakam Dhatte Karaih Vighnarajah Duninama Mudesastu Nah.
