Dharoi Dam, GujaratDharoi Dam is a gravity dam, which is built on the Sabarmati River near Dharoi, Kheralu Taluka, Mehsana district in Gujarat. Constructed in 1978, the main purpose of the dam is irrigation, power generation and flood control. Dharoi dam is also one of the best tourist spots in the state of Gujarat. 349.39 hectares forest land, 2,727.55 hectares wasteland, 7,489.87 hectares cultivable lands are included in the reservoir. Dharoi dam irrigated 31,393 hectares in the year 2007-2008.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and Umardashi railway station are the nearest to the dam. Dharoi Dam can also be reached from Poshina, which is located about 45 km away.
