Career of Davinder Singh
In the Olympics, India played a total of 6 matches of which, the team won 4 matches, and 2 matches were draws. The Indian national team scored a total of 43 goals. India played outstandingly well in the final match, which was against Spain. India beat Spain by 4-3, and finally achieved a gold win for the nation. Other than the eminent Davinder Singh, the team comprised of Vasudevan Bhaskaran as the captain, Rajinder Singh, Amarjit Singh Rana, Charanjit Kumar, Ravinder Pal Singh, Sommayya Maneypande, Zafar Iqbal, Bir Bahadur Chhetri, Mohammed Shahid, Surinder Singh Sodhi, Amarjit Singh Rana, Sylvanus Dung Dung, Gurmail Singh, Allen Schofield as goalkeeper and others.

Indian team has participated in the second edition of the Champions Trophy for the first time with the members Allen Schofield, Arvind Chhabra, Surjit Singh, Dung Dung, Ravinder Pal Singh, Ajitpal Singh, V Bhaskaran, Gurmail Singh, VJ Philips, Charanjit Kumar, Sukhbir Singh Grewal, Surinder Singh Sodhi, Zafar Iqbal, Mohammad Shahid and Mervyn Fernandes along with Davinder Singh. India ended up 5th among 7 participating countries. India has made 7 goals at the Champions Trophy and Davinder Singh makes those 7 goals.

Davinder Singh divorced in 2009. He has two sons. He was elected as Member of Parliament in 1988 and formerly an MP for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. Davinder Singh withdrew from the 2006 general elections.
