Daryapur, Banosa is a city in the Amravati district ideally located at Maharastra. The municipal council looks after the local administration of the place. Daryapur Municipal Council consists of three separate towns Daryapur, Banosa and Babhali. It is in Daryapur that the main schools Municipal Council and ST bus stand is situated. Daryapur is separated from Banosa by a narrow gauge rail line. It is situated between 20.93° North latitude and 77.33° East longitude. It is situated at a height of 288 metres(948feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 census report, Daryapur had a population of about 34,398 inhabitants. Males constitute 52% of the population whereas 48% are females. In Daryapur Banosa 13% of the population is less than six years of age. The town has an average literacy rate of 78% which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The literacy rate of the male is 82% while that of the female is 74%.This city has excellent academic records because of the reputed school Prabodhan Vidyalaya.
A pilgrimage spot for devotees Daryapur has Asha-Manisha Temple on the bank of Chandrabhaga river, Sant Gadge Baba Temple, Sant Gadge Baba Jatra-Runmochan, Murha and Parashram Maharaj Temple.The city is also famous for the different species of wild donkeys in and around the city. Daryapur is famous for the cultivation of cotton and also for the production of cereals like `mug` and `chana`. The attention has now turned towards soyabean production.
