Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple is one of the well known temples of Lord Ganesha. It is located in Pune in the state of Maharashtra. The Ganesha temple was established by Dagadusheth Halwai in 1893. The temple is situated near the Shaniwar Wada Fort, which was the administrative base of Peshwas of Maratha Empire. The Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple is one of the most popular shrines of Lord Ganesha in the state. It is visited by numerous pilgrims from around the country. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav is grandly celebrated in the temple.
The Halwai Ganapati Trust, founded by Dagdusheth Halwai, conducts several philanthropic activities from the donations received by the temple. It provides education and housing to around forty destitute children. The trust also provides ambulance service to the poor and operates health clinics in tribal regions in Pune District.
