Cumbum Valley, Theni DistrictAlso known as Kambam, the Cumbum region in Tamil Nadu is one of South India"s most fertile lands. Located in the Theni District, the Cumbam Valley is near the Kerala state border and is blessed with the rich nutrients in the soil and a climate that is suited for the cultivation of a variety of crops.

Located between the Thekkady Hills, the Varusanadu Hills, and the Kodaikanal Hills, the Cumbum Valley consists of large areas of farmland and that includes crops like paddy, vegetables, grape vineyards, and mango and pomegranate farms. The Cumbum Valley also happens to be one of the few regions in Tamil Nadu that has thriving grape cultivation. It produces about 90,000 tonnes of Muscat grapes and 10,000 tonnes of Thomson seedless grapes every year.
