Courtallam Eco Park, Tirunelveli District, Tamil NaduThe Courtallam Eco Park is located in the Indian state Tamil Nadu. More specifically, this Eco Park is situated at a scenic site in the town of Courtallam in Tirunelveli district. It is given the status of being the biggest eco park of the state and is an exquisite tourist destination of Courtallam. The total project cost for establishing this eco park is about Rs.573.00 lakhs.

Geography of Courtallam Eco Park
Globally, the Courtallam Eco Park can be pinpointed at coordinates 8 degrees 55 minutes 59 seconds North and 77 degrees 14 minutes 32 seconds East. This eco park is known to form a part of the Western Ghats and has been set up in the farm of the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Development Agency (TANHODA). It covers a total area of about 37.23 acres. Tenkasi, Punalur and Kilimanoor are the nearby cities of Courtallam Eco Park.

Tourism at Courtallam Eco Park
The Courtallam Eco Park is a tourism product of Tamil Nadu. This tourist attraction also labelled a garden, a butterfly park, a theme park or a picnic spot. This park has several sections, the occupants of which may attract and amuse the visitors. Some of these sections are the fern garden, rock garden, stream walk, children"s play area, sunken garden, adventure play area, royal drive, murals, eco pond and bamboo avenue. Colourful lights have been used to adorn this eco park. It also has a food court constructed for the purpose of refreshment of the visitors. Apart from acting as a recreational centre, this park is also a great learning centre for students. Also, the farms of this park have educational and commercial significance. They act as demonstration centres and guide for such purposes.

The Courtallam Eco Park has good transport availability. Tuticorin Airport which is located in Vaagaikulam is a viable option to reach Courtallam Eco Park. As far as railway is concerned, Tuticorin Railway Stations namely, Tirunelveli Junction Railway Station (Tirunelveli Town), Tenkasi Railway Station (Tenkasi), Ambasamudram Railway Station (Ambasamudram), Nanguneri Railway Station (Kamaraj Nagar, Nanguneri) and Kallidaikurichi Railway Station (Kallidaikurchi) are the several options available to reach one"s destination, Courtallam Eco Park. To visit this eco park, it is important to note that it is situated just beside the famous Five Falls in Courtallam.
