Globally, the Courtallam Eco Park can be pinpointed at coordinates 8 degrees 55 minutes 59 seconds North and 77 degrees 14 minutes 32 seconds East. This eco park is known to form a part of the Western Ghats and has been set up in the farm of the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Development Agency (TANHODA). It covers a total area of about 37.23 acres. Tenkasi, Punalur and Kilimanoor are the nearby cities of Courtallam Eco Park.

The Courtallam Eco Park is a tourism product of Tamil Nadu. This tourist attraction also labelled a garden, a butterfly park, a theme park or a picnic spot.
