Thanjavur
Thanjavur is a city and municipality in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu. This city is also the capital of Thanjavur district. Thanjavur derives its name from Tanjan, a demon who according to local legend caused devastation and was killed by Sri Anandavalli Amman and Sri Neelamegapperumal. Tanjan`s last request was of naming the city after his name.

Coimbatore
Coimbatore is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is the administrative headquarters of Coimbatore District. Coimbatore is also an integral part of the Kongu Nadu region of Tamil Nadu. Tiruchirappalli
Tiruchirappalli is the fourth largest city after Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. It is situated in the centre of the state, on the banks of the Kaveri River. The most famous landmark of Trichy is the Rock fort temple which is balanced on a huge rocky out crop. Hence Thoothukudi means `A settlement built on land reclaimed from sea`. `Tuticorin" name was given by Dutch during their rule in this city. Today this city is called Tuticorin in English and Thoothukudi in Tamil. The city lies in the Coromandel Coast off Bay of Bengal. Thoothukudi is the headquarters of Thoothukudi District. It is located about 590 kilometres (367 mi) south of Chennai and 190 kilometres northeast of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum).

Kanchipuram
Kanchipuram is a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, 72 km (45 mi) from Chennai. It is located on the banks of the Vegavathy River. Kanchipuram has been ruled by the Pallavas, the Medieval Cholas, the Later Cholas, the Later Pandyas, the Vijayanagar Empire, the Carnatic kingdom and the British.

Tiruppur

Salem

Erode
Erode is located in Erode District of Tamil Nadu. Erode is the seventh largest urban agglomeration in Tamil Nadu. This place has been ruled, at different times, by the Early Pandya Dynasty, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Vijayanagar Empire, Nayaka Dynasty of Madurai , Hyder Ali, Carnatic kingdom and the British. It is situated at the centre of the South Indian Peninsula, about 400 kilometres (249 mi) southwest of the state capital Chennai and about 80 kilometers (50 mi) east of Coimbatore. Handloom, power loom textile products and ready made garments industries contribute to the economy of the city. Dindigul
Dindigul is a city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of the Dindigul district. Dindigul is believed to be an ancient settlement; it has been ruled at different times by the Early Pandyan Kingdom, the medieval Cholas, Pallava Dynasty, the Later Pandyas, the Madurai Sultanate, The Dindigul Sultanates, the Vijayanagara Empire, the Madurai Nayak Dynasty, Chanda Sahib, the Carnatic kingdom and the British. Dindigul has a number of historical monuments, the Rock Fort being the most prominent.

Alandur
Alandur is an urban node in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu. The town agglomeration of Alandur has an estimated population of 300,000. Alandur holds famous landmarks of Chennai namely the Statue of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Kathipara Junction.
